The Homestead Cookbook

A good book for the household how-to's using ordinary kitchen items and forgotten uses for everyday ingredients. Too bad it's out of print, but a good thing there were multiple copies available (The Homestead Cookbook -circa 1974). Another good book that is of a more recent printing, but is also out of print is: "Salt,Lemons,Vinegar, and Baking Soda" by Shea Zukowski 2009 - this books problem like so many things is it was printed in China. This newer book was only on the shelves for less than one year before going out of print, like the name implies that is what it shows you old time uses for. Thus far online search engines have a picture of the book but no real knowledge of a copy to be had anywhere D-11
