There have been books on wild flowers for the garden, but this one is different. The author lists trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants, and tells where they can be grown. What is just as important, she tells where they can not be grown successfully. There are many warnings to save the would-be grower from pitfalls and heartaches. In separate chapters, she describes type localities and suggests plants for each. Flowers and trees for the different seasons are recommended.
