Robert Burns appears to have a kept a regular journal on two occasions only, both in the year 1787 during his Highlands Tour. Burns' journal entries are presented here in their entirety, and are fully annotated and given context by the author, a Burns scholar residing on the Border. Includes 36 illustrations from the author's private collection; map of the Borders on endpapers; and appendices including Burns' correspondence while on tour.
