Celebrating Children's Choices: 25 Years of Children's Favorite Books

This book provides the background and development of the Children's Choices project, a joint effort of the Children's Book Council and International Reading Association, and highlights many of the best known and most popular books that have appeared on the Children's Choices list over the past 25 years. Each book selection features a picture of the book jacket, an annotation from the Choices list, a list of classroom applications, and vignettes from the classrooms where the authors observed the applications in progress. Selected books cross content areas and reading levels, and feature both fiction and nonfiction.
