Incognito: Limited Edition

Until now, Walker Evans legendary 1971 interview with Eakins Press founder Leslie Katz has been unavailable, except in anthologies. In Incognito, a new, limited-edition tribute to the great American photographer, Eakins Press Foundation has finally reprinted this candid interview, in which Evans speaks freely about his photography and philosophy with his longtime friend Katz. The eight photographs included were selected by Evans himself to illustrate pivotal moments in his career. This buckram-bound edition, with luscious tritone prints and letterpress-printed text, is truly a masterpiece of the printer s and book binder s art.
