Bridge of Dreams: The Mary Griggs Burke Collection of Japanese Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is privileged to present toe Mary Griggs Burke Collection of Japanese art, which represents highlights of Mrs. Burke's involvement with and collecting to the filed of Japanese art over the 37-year period since 1963. Throughout the years, the Burkes donated funds for purchases, frequently lent works to be shown in the Japanese galleries, funded research on Japanese art in the Museum's collection, and contributed to the department's activities in more personal ways.
