The issues raised by the concept of negotiability and the rules surrounding its application require the examination not only of statutory provisions, but of the economic and technical developments involving the use of negotiable instruments. Courts have attempted to formulate approaches and interpretations that would support the use of such instruments on in our modern domestic as well as global economies.
