The Coronado Expedition to Tierra Nueva

In August 1992, a conference was held at New Mexico Highlands University to determine the exact route followed by Francisco Vßzquez de Coronado's expedition to la Tierra Nueva, a region stretching from modern Sonora to modern Kansas. Seventeen papers from that conference are supplement by six more recent essays. Although there is some discussion of Coronado's trip up the west coast of Mexico, the focus is on the route within the present boundaries of the US. Includes an historical introduction and 18 maps.
