Drury's eleventh volume on the history of the Oregon Mission of the American Board contains another excellent diary on the formative years of white settlement in the Pacific Northwest. Supplemented by entries from his wife's diary, Walker recounts his overland experiences, and the years of missionary and settlement work northwest of Spokane, Washington.
