Dayneford's Library: American Homosexual Writing, 1900-1913

The modern homosexual is often seen as having emerged fully formed out of the Oscar Wilde trials. This work disputes such a view, presenting images of homosexuality in early 20th-century American literature and attempting to establish the meanings of homosexuality as then understood by homosexuals.
