Getting into Area

Use these manipulative-based, comprehensive, and sequential lessons to replace and extend basal textbook lessons. Students work in pairs or groups, strengthening reasoning, problem-solving, and communication skills. Activities connect to math topics such as fractions, percents, and probability/statistics and to non-math topics such as art, literature, science, and architecture. Objectives, instructions, materials lists, journal topics and extension activities for each lesson.
