A survey of the fast growing field of ultrasound diagnostics in gynecology and obstetrics, suitable as an introduction for the beginner or a reference for the more experienced professional. Detailed sonographic presentations of normal findings are followed by the corresponding pathological findings, using the most recent images available. To make learning easier, most of the ultrasound images are compared with intraoperative, postoperative, or postpartum photographs of clinical and pathological conditions.
