This is an anthology of poems by Sudanese-born prolific writer and literary scholar, Taban lo Liyong. In the anthology lo Liyong focuses on wide ranging contemporary issues and subjects, drawing on his wealth of experience both as a seasoned intellectual and a discerning observer of the developments which have unfolded on the African continent in the last half century.
