Assessment of Risk in the Term Newborn (March of Dimes Nursing Modules)

A nursing continuing education program that provides information on assessment of the newborn's physiologic adaptation to extrauterine life and infectious or metabolic disorders including gestational age assessment, physical assessment, and newborn behavior patterns. Presents discussion of nursing management during the early newborn period including identification and assessment of risk factors, monitoring, intervention during hospitalization, and post-discharge follow-up.
