Can you ever leave the past behind? Dan Carter, his wife Sara and their two children are about to fly off on holiday when Dan finds his passport missing. Exasperated, he tells them to go ahead - he'll catch them up. Hours later he sees on a newsflash that the plane has gone down over the ocean. After the first explosion of grief, questions start to haunt him. Was it an accident his passport disappeared? Did Sara have an agenda he was unaware of?
