Plato's Apology of Socrates is a masterpiece of ancient rhetoric which illuminates Plato's version of Socrates' dialectical method. This edition aims to develop recent research-however the author is more sceptical than some of the historical accuracy of Plato's version of Socrates defence, interpreting it instead as a work of Plato's own art.
