This work is organized according to areas of denistry: extracting instruments; excavating instruments, cauteries, filing materials; artificial teeth; anaesthesia equipment; dental mirrors, scalers and miscellaneous instruments; and oral hygiene. It contains a directory of instrument makers, a chronological chart of principal surgeons, dentists, and scientists, 161 black and white illustrations and 21 color plates.
