It is no longer enough for equestrian students to be adept solely with grooming tools and saddle soap—communications skills in the form of presentation of lecturettes are now an important part of exam syllabuses. This book contains a series of lectures covering the stable management syllabus of the BHS stages I and II examinations. Each lecture is presented complete with preparation notes, full text, and clear diagrams, some of which can be photocopied and used as a teaching aid. In addition the author has calculated the length of time each lecture takes and this, together with the chapter on lecturing techniques, will prove important for both students and practicing instructors.
