En este libro se han incluido 170 hojas que no son difíciles de obtener ni para el coleccionista, ni para el que quiera documentarlas o simplemente disfrutarlas. Con esa intencion, se incluye, junto a la fotografia de cada hoja, una breve descripción de la misma con el nombre especifico de cada especie y, en muchos casos, con el nombre por el que es conocida corrientemente.

The book of the distinguished leaves is about those plants which are recognized for the unique beauty of their leaves. They are gems of the vegetable world that distinguished more for their foliage than for their flowers, which occupy a second place for those who cultivate and admire these plants. The truth is that there are thousands of distinguished leaves by their general aspect, form and color.

In this book 170 leaves have been included that are not difficult to obtain neither for the collector, neither for the one that want to document them or the simply curious. The principal purpose of The Book of Distinguished Leaves is to highlight and identify these attractive leaves. This is accomplished by placing the image of the leaf accompanied by a brief description of the same, the specific species name and, in most cases, the name by which it is generally known to the lay public.
