Hospitality with a Christian theme is the center of this cookbook. Recipes from the Swedish tradition are the norm. To some it may a bit old-fashioned but for cookbook collectors you will want to find a copy.Helpful hints and food facts are scattered throughout. Most of the recipes can be found in other books (hence the 3 stars) but there are a few that I had never heard of before: Molasses Sticks- I grew up eating molasses crinkles so I'll try this to see if they are the same. Cupcakes are referred to as Candle Cakes. Others recipes such a Jellied Veal will be ones I'll pass on. There are lots of casseroles if you like to make these.I'll give this book to one of daughters someday hoping that one of them will enjoy reading and trying out new 'old' recipes.
