An atlas of African history

This book provides a very useful supplement for courses on Africa. The atlas includes maps that deal primarily with events and distributions subsequent to the Arab invasions. Particularly useful are eleven maps on the states of North Africa and the Sudan during various periods and a larger number on the progress of European exploration and colonial penetration. Others deal with geography, trade, missions, European settlement, and modern economic production.
