Bibliometrics have been around for decades; however, we have seen a recent surge in the interest in bibliometrics services at academic institutions together with the development of new bibliometrics tools. Navigating this rapidly evolving landscape can be a challenge for academic institutions as they attempt to try to determine which tools and skills sets will best meet their needs.
