Notable Children's Books: 1971-1975

This list is a companion list to the "Notable Children's Books: 1940-1970" list and was compiled by the Re-evaluation Committee of the ALA. The purpose was "to re-evaluate on the basis of established criteria, with ALSC membership involvement, the Notable Books published in 1971-1975, to delete those titles which have not stood the test of time; to add titles published in 1971-1975, if appropriate; and to present a composite annotated list..."
