Eimar O'Duffy (The Irish writers series)

(Born September 29,1893 in Dublin, eldest son of Kevin O'Duffy; becomes a member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood. 1913-1916 Prominent in the Irish Volunteers; has two plays presented by Edward Martyn's Irish Theatre. 1919 Publishes first novel, The Wasted Island,1920 a bitter novel about 1916 and the events leading up to it - Publishes Printer's Errors and The Lion and the Fox. 1923; Miss Kudd and Some Lovers. Moves to England, then free-lances in Paris and works for an American newspaper, 1926. Publishes the satire King Goshawk and the Birds,1928; The Spacious Adventures of the Man in the Street. 1929; publishes revised version of The Wasted Island. 1932-1935 publishes Life and Money, various mystery novels, Asses in Clover; dies in Surrey)
