Infectious Risks in Surgery

This is a review of the sorts of risks that practising surgeons can face today in operating on HIV patients or in dealing with those with hepatitis and other, life-threatening diseases. There is a overview of infectious diseases, the risks they present and a set of recommended precautions which have been validated by the Centre for Disease Control. There is also a section which deals with the ethical issues that surgeons can find themselves facing.
