Esophageal motility testing

This text provides specific instructions in the equipment, techniques and interpretation of oesophageal motility studies. This second edition has been revised to incorporate changes in oesophageal motility arising since the first edition, including a more thorough description of the use of solid state computerized manometry as it applies to the routine clinical oesophageal laboratory, and a chapter describing the technique of ambulatory prolonged oesophageal motility testing and its interpretation. Supported by examples of both normal and abnormal motility tracings, this text is intended to meet the needs of an active clinical oesophagus motility testing laboratory.
