Nearly 20 years of updates are included in the two parts of the new 4th ed. and the companion database, all geared to Resource Description and Access (RDA) standards. The title describes the authors understanding of current descriptive, subject cataloging and classification practices for legal materials, offering illustrations of descriptive or subject cataloging and MARC tags. Part 1 contains 8 chapters that cover the most common and troublesome legal publication questions regarding legal rules and uniform titles, with an emphasis on and numerous links to other cataloging resources. Part 2 consists of an A-Z list of more than 200 legal terms, genres, and subject headings with definitions, RDA cataloging instructions, LC subject and genre/form term guidance, classification tips, examples, and some historical information.
