This is a collection of case studies, most of which initially appeared in the quarterly professional journal The Health Care Manager. It is intended for use in the training and continuing education of superviso rs, managers, and professionals working in health care or preparing fo r health care careers. Although it is a companion volume to The Effect ive Health Care Supervisor, supplementing the cases and exercises prov ided in that publication, it also stands by itself as a guide for supe rvisory training programs, and as a useful resource for a variety of o ther education activities.
