Continuous Quality Improvement in Health Care: Theory, Implementation, and Applications

Primarily for graduate students in health services management, presents an interdisciplinary perspective on quality management in health care. Special attention is given to the underlying tools and approaches fundamental to Total Quality Management (TQM)/Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI). The challenges of implementation and institutionalization are addressed in a variety of health care organizations, including primary care clinics, hospital laboratories, public health departments, and academic health centers.
