English with a smile 2: A graded reader for intermediate students

The stories in this book are based on commonly encountered humorous incidents and experiences. We expect that readers will be able to identify with many of the characters and situations described in the stories. Each story develops listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through a communicative approach. Students are asked to take an active part in each chapter by developing personal vocabulary lists, role playing situations based on the stories, contributing prior knowledge, interacting with the characters, and comparing the stories to their feelings and experiences.
