Bars of Adamant

The small town of Summerhill, located in the lushness of tropical Jamaica, live by the cycle of seasonal changes. It is virtually undisturbed by outside influences until a stanger arries, seeking shelter for the night, and chooses to die there.This event thrusts Mrs. Martha Chetwick, the comparatively prosperous owner of a general store an a small coffee farm, into the mainstream of Summerhill's ingrown civic life. With her is her sister-in-law Marri, who acts as Martha's assistant and personal possession.
