Graphis Photo 95: The International Annual of Photography (Graphis Photo Annual)

The contents of this annual cornucopia of images run the gamut, from the mundane to the spectacular. Despite some pretentious faux art -- notably an out-of-focus snapshot of a dog in a laundromat -- there are some real stunners here. Among the more indelible are Mark Laita's photograph of a snail atop a mushroom, Klaus D. Franke's aerial views of Iceland and Marc Norberg's image of a crippled girl floating serenely in a pool, with her crutches lying idle nearby.
