Illustrated Encyclopedia of Architects and Architecture

The first section is a biographical dictionary of some 350 architects both historical and contemporary with concise accounts of each architect's life and work and a bibliography and summary of major projects. The second section (cross-referenced to the first) comprises an historical survey of architecture from ancient times until the present. Includes some 400 well-selected illustrations and a glossary of stylistic and technical terms.
