The Seneca World of Ga-No-Say-Yeh (American University Studies)

This book focuses on a crucial seventy-five year period in the history of the Seneca-Iroquois people, 1775-1850. During that time the fortunes of war turned against the Senecas as the American colonists won their war of independence. Decimated through war and disease, the Senecas managed to hold on to a few acres of land and their cultural heritage.
