Picking cotton, shucking corn, boiling sorghum, and harvesting tobacco are all part of the rich agricultural heritage of the South recalled by Leighton in the vignettes that make up SOUTHERN HARVEST. Originally published in 1942, the work is handsomely illustrated by more than 35 of Leighton's wood engravings .
