Transforming School Cultures (Lives in Context)

This study outlines a vision of school that can be used for school reform. At the heart of this vision is a culture that focuses on students' attention on learning and on its intrinsic worth and value for all while minimizing the stress on competing within a social hierachy. Included are case studies of two American schools in the process of realizing this vision.
