British Painting in the Philadelphia Museum of Art: From the Seventeenth Through the Nineteenth Century

The PA Museum of Art owns 130 paintings including masterpieces by Hogarth, Gainsborough, Reynolds, Stubbs, Blake, John Crome, Constable and Turner. Additionally, there are 12 portraits by Romney, 12 by Raeburn and canvases by W.R. Bigg, Mason Chamberlin, Ben Marshall, Thomas Barker of Bath, Sir Frederic Leighton and Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadem.
