Completely reset in modern format, this new edition brings together works of Aubrey long out of print and unobtainable. The text of the Miscelanies follows the first (1696) edition in spelling, style, and punctuation, and the same principle has been adopted for the Remaines and Observations. In addition to a full introduction the editor has supplied appendices, textual notes, and a biographical index to persons mentioned in the three works.
