It is designed as a practical, hands-on tool that can sit on the auditor's desk for easy access. The book is composed primarily of annotated parts of an engagement letter, which can be pieced together to create an entire engagement letter, and actual letters the CPA can use for his or her own purposes. The free companion CD-ROM that accompanies CPA's Guide to Effective Engagement Letters contains these same valuable paragraphs and letters, plus case studies illustrating the dos and don'ts of engagement letter use.
