From the Preface: Christians assembled for worship are shaped, for better or for worse, by the worship spaces which surround them. Those spaces have a great influence on us, on our minds and attitudes, and help determine how we participate in worship. This book is intended to help congregations (1) to reflect on the theology of worship as it relates to worship space, and (2) to develop and implement criteria for using existing worship spaces as well as for renovating those spaces and building new ones.
