Community health

This edition of "Community Health" provides students with information on preventive medicine, public health, school health and self-care. It provides relevance to the material, and discusses such topics as unresolved political problems of child abuse, AIDS, drug abuse and alcoholism. The text presents historical, sociological, epidemiological, behavioural, economic, administrative and organizational perspectives to the subject, and emphasizes health education approaches to promote individual and collective action.
