Karin Douglas was leaving Houston Research Clinic forever. A man whom she had dated a few times had committed suicide, leaving the impression that Karin had led him on and thrown him over. Ben was from an influential family and his suicide was highly publicized, so Karin had to make a new life for herself - which is how she comes to be the new nurse at Playland Park General First Aid.
