In Pursuit of Happiness and Good Government

In this book, Murray develops a strong argument calling for a return to Jeffersonian ideals of community, local government, and individualism. "In pursuit of happiness," of course, comes from the Declaration of Independence. To Murray, this phrase reflected the founders' fundamental belief "that the pursuit of happiness is at the center of man's existence and that to permit man to pursue happiness is the central justification of government."
