"The Ants Go Marching One By One" is a well known children's song that is sung following the tune of the US Civil War song "When Johnny Comes Marching Home". The tune dates back to the American Civil War and was first published in 1863. The lyrics refer to family longing for the return of their relatives and friends from battle and was sung by both sides in the war. This version contains sheet music on the inside back cover.
