A Language Study of Arthur Miller's Plays: The Plays in the Colloquial (Studies in American Literature)

This study looks at the poetic elements in a cross-section of Arthur Miller's plays. According to the author, the study "examines how though Miller seems to work mostly in the form of colloquial prose, there are many moments in his plays when the dialogue clearly elevates to poetry." Plays analyzed include All My Sons , Death of a Salesman , The Crucible , A View from the Bridge , and Incident at Vichy . Marino teaches at Saint Francis College.
