Kallon analyzes the political economy of corruption in Sierra Leone. Drawing upon economics, history, political science, and constitutional law, he shows how corruption like all other types of criminal behavior is a product of rational decision-making. Particular attention has been paid to the relationship between the quantity of corrupt transactions that an official would supply and the size of the per- unit bribe.
