2017 Tiffany Mini Wall Calendar

A remarkable innovator, Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 18481933) drew on a vast visual repertoire accumulated during his postCivil War travels in America, Europe, and Africa. He was inspired by the English Arts and Crafts school, Japanese ceramics, Moorish architecture, and Byzantine mosaics. Tiffany was particularly moved by the magnificent antique windows of France, but he brought a far more painterly approach to his stained glass, imbuing it with a shifting, shimmering, mercurial quality.
