Tells the story of Sabrina, who is not enthusiastic about taking part in the coming-out season in London. She is an orphaned country girl -- whose grandfather just happened to have been a nobleman -- & therefore feels out of place. Luckily Ophelia, the daughter of a family friend, has been chosen to usher Sabrina through this season. Even less keen to be in London is Duncan MacTavish. Having lived contentedly in the Scottish Highlands, he is now required to assume the title & estates of his deceased grandfather, an English Marquis. A betrothal has been arranged without his consent to Ophelia. When he encounters Sabrina, he falls in love with her. But duty & station forbid Sabrina's & Duncan's desired union.
