England Calling

There have been numerous anthologies of Scottish, Irish, Northern and London writing, but up until now no anthology that has attempted to bring together the best of English writing. At a time when Scottish and Welsh devolution means that English culture and identity are being hotly discussed, this anthology of new writing from a nation rediscovering itself is timely and controversial.
