Revenge was in Blaise Randell's heart when he returned to his home in the San Fernando Valley. Ten years in San Quentin on a false murder charge had steeled his purpose to regain his lost property and drive his enemy, the notorious Leonis, out of the valley.

They were not willing to homestead with Blaise and drive Leonis out. In fact, someone really didn't welcome Blaise's return and soon more terrifying warfare broke out on the range.
